Busia County Clinical Officers (Anaesthesists) Jobs in Kenya - 2015

The Busia County Public Service Board wishes to recruit competent and

qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions in the

Department of Health and Sanitation in accordance with Article 235 (1)

(b) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and Section 59 (1) (b) of the

County Governments Act, 2012.

Clinical Officer (Anaesthesist) 

Job Group “K”

(3 Posts)

The officer will normally work under the guidance of an Anaesthesiologist / Senior Anaesthetist.

Duties and Responsibilities

The specific duties will include the following among others.

• Review patients planned for surgery ;


• Giving Anaesthesia to patients due to undergo surgery in a theatre;


• Attending to emergency cases in the High Dependency Unit and Intensive Care Units;


• Attending to resuscitation of critical emergency cases and


• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements for Appointment

• Be a Kenyan citizen;


• Be a holder of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), Mean Grade C+ and above OR Division II


• Be a holder of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized Medical Training College;


• Must have a Higher Diploma in Anaesthesia from a recognized Medical Training Institution;


• Be registered by the Clinical Officers Council;


• Must have a valid Practice License;


• Be computer literate;
