Our client in the hospitality industry both locally and internationally is looking to hire the following qualified candidates.
Demi chefs.
Requirements For Demi Chefs Jobs In Kenya
- Diploma or degree in food production from recognized institution.
- Ages 27-35.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working for a five star hotel in the similar position.
- Must have passports in order to undergo serious regular international training, refresher courses, and exchange programs
- Both males and females in these positions are encouraged to apply.
- Five star hotel experience is a must.
- Must have certificate of good conduct/police clearance recent certificate
- Must be free from any criminal record.
Demi Chefs Job Responsibilities In Kenya
- To monitor stock movement and be responsible for ordering on your section
- To ensure minimum kitchen wastage.
- To ensure knowledge of the product is maintained an d communicated to all relevant personnel.
- To be responsible for completing your mis en place
- To learn and record skills and recipes from other members of the department
- To report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef i immediately.
- To comply with all Good wood policies and procedures to ensure that all statutory regulations are observed
- To liaise with the Head Chef/Sous Chef and implement new menu/dishes/systems where applicable
- To ensure all statutory regulations are adhered to, such as food hygiene policies
- To be flexible and willing to help the hotel kitchen at busy times.
- Knowledgeable about basic hygiene and HACCP.
